Free training on Digital Europe: Opportunity for candidates for grants for digital projects
The EU Network of National Contact Points for the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) organises a series of six free online training sessions for all those interested in funding digital projects.
The trainings are intended for research enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, universities, digital hubs and non-governmental organisations working in the field of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital skills and technology deployment. Whether you are a beginner or just need any clarification, do not hesitate to log in.
The trainings will take place in English in the form ofZoom webinars and are an ideal opportunity for those who want to:
- Understand the EU’s digital priorities and funding mechanisms.
- Turning an idea into a sustainable project concept.
- Adopt good practices in drafting, budgeting and project management.
- Gain certainty when using the EU Funding and Procurement Portal .
- Avoid common mistakes when applying.
- Get practical advice on responding to GEP calls.
The first training session for potential applicants will be on the topic ‘Introduction to the Digital Europe Programme’ on 10 June 2025 (from 10:00 to 11:30 CET). Agenda highlights:
• The role of the Digital Europe Programme in the EU Digital Strategy.
• Key IT/digital concepts – explained in simple terms.
• Priority areas and types of projects of the Digital Europe Programme.
• How to get started with the EU Funding and Procurement Portal.
• Practical tips for new applicants.

The second training session will focus on: ‘How to generate a DEP project?’ on 16 June 2025 (from 10:00 to 11:30 CET). Agenda highlights:
• Project idea, concept development – How to develop a concept and project according to the objectives, scope, outputs and evaluation aspects of a specific call.
• How to set up a team/organise a consortium? Roles and responsibilities.
• Partner search and matchmaking methods and tools (channels, methods – DEP NCP network, Enterprise Europe Network, EU Funding and Procurement Portal, b2match platform).
