Supporting smart cities, municipalities and regions 2025 - Czech Republic
The Czech Ministry of Regional Development has launched a call for applications under the programme Support for Regional Reconstruction and Development, namely the sub-programme Support for Smart Cities, Municipalities and Regions (117D7622).
- Opening of the call: 14 April 2025
- Deadline of the call: Initially 26 June, extended until 29 August 2025
- Amount of subsidy: from CZK 1 million toCZK 20 million per event
- Limit of applications: a maximum of 3 applications per Activity perID
Activities supported
| Activity 2 – Deployment of living labs to test new innovative solutions | Activity 3 - Fostering the creative economy through multifunctional hubs and clusters |
| • Support the creation of living labs and technical infrastructure for living labs in urban environments | • Acquisition of technical equipment for digital creative centres (e.g. 3D printers, material handling machines, graphic hardware and software) |
| • Support the use and deployment of augmented and virtual reality features | • Training of staff of these centers with a focus on service |
| Necessary construction works related to the creation and commissioning of living laboratories | • Necessary building adaptations related to the creation and operationalisation of shared digital creative centres |
At the end of May 2025, a webinar was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Development for stakeholders interested in the SMART CITIES call.

The maximum rate of subsidy shall be 50 % of the total eligible expenditure.
