European Internet Forum
The European Internet Forum (until 2014 the European Internet Foundation) is established as a non-profit association under Belgian law. It was co-founded in 2000 by three Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from different political groups – James Elles (UK), Erika Mann (Germany) and Elly Plooij-van Gorsel (Netherlands) – with the aim to create an MEP-led network of digital policy stakeholders and a neutral, transparent and non-partisan platform to better understand the Internet and its foreseeable impact on Europe's economy, society and governance.
