Italian Government

The Italian Government is made up of the President of the Council of Ministers and team of Ministers, who together form the Council of Ministers.
The President of the Council of Ministers and the Ministers proposes are appointed by the President of the Italian Republic and are sworn in by the latter before taking office.
Ministers are individually responsible for the decisions and actions taken by their ministries, while they share joint responsibility for those approved by the Council of Ministers.
The Council of Ministers defines general Government policy as well as providing general guidance for administrative action.
