The Ministry of Digital Affairs was established by the ordinance of the Council of Ministers of 7 December 2015, which transformed the former Ministry of Administration and Digitisation. The ordinance entered into force on the day of its announcement, with effect from 16 November 2015. In accordance with the decree of the Prime Minister of 9 December 2015, the Minister of Digital Affairs heads the computerisation department of the government administration.

The aim of the Ministry of Digital Affairs is to make people’s lives better thanks to digitalisation.
