EITM Call for Proposals for New Higher Education Institutions’ accession to EIT Manufacturing Master and Doctoral Schools and new Master programmes

The EIT Manufacturing Master and Doctoral School is calling for proposals seeking to foster innovation and excellence in the manufacturing sector through education. The aim of this call is to help develop the next generation of creative leaders and innovators in manufacturing.

Objective

The scope of this call is twofold:

1. Expand Partnerships: Add new HEIs to the EITM Master and Doctoral School, including those from uncovered countries, to diversify partnerships and ensure multiple HEI combinations for each programme.

2. Enhance Programme Portfolio: Introduce new Master programmes covering topics not currently addressed, aligning with EITM topic areas and industry needs for skilled graduates.

Areas

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) can apply to one or more of the topics below:

1. Sub-topic 1: Accession of new HEIs to EITM Master School

2. Sub-topic 2: Accession of new HEIs to the EITM Doctoral School

3. Sub-topic 3: Introduction of New MSc Programmes in the EITM Master School

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding, the applicants must:

1. be legal entities (public or private)

2. be HEIs established in:

3. a Member State of the European Union (including overseas countries and territories)

4. Horizon Europe associated countries

5. selected low- and middle-income countries

HEIs must hold national accreditation to deliver:

6. For sub-topics 1 and 3: Master of Science degrees in line with the Bologna Process, recognised across the EU.

7. For sub-topic 2: PhD degrees according to national regulations, valid across the EU.

Funding

• Total Budget: EUR 170 000

• Funding for the 1st cut-off (June 2024): EUR 120 000

• Funding for the 2nd cut-off (December 2024): EUR 50 000

If projects perform well during the alignment phase, they may become eligible for continued funding.

Deadline

The deadline for the 2nd cut-off is set to 5 December 2024, 17:00 (Brussels time).
