GenAI: What's changing, what's coming?

Discover the future of Generative AI with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) as it launches its first-ever Outlook Report on Generative Artificial Intelligence. This flagship event will unveil the most comprehensive analysis to date of the technological, economic, and societal implications of GenAI, bringing together evidence, insights, and foresight from across the European research and policy landscape.
Generative AI is reshaping the way we work, learn, create, and interact,introducing profound opportunities for innovation and competitiveness, while also raising critical questions around rights, safety, ethics, and regulation. The JRC Outlook Report provides an integrated view of these dynamics, supporting EU efforts to stay at the forefront of trustworthy, human-centric AI development.
Through a mix of high-level presentations and panel discussions, the event will explore the impact of GenAI across key sectors including employment, education, industrial productivity, and the environment. It also offers an outlook on the kinds of policy action that may be needed to ensure that AI technologies align with European values and strategic goals.
