'Today's information security' is a webinar, organised in the context of the CYRUS project, funded under the DIGITAL Europe Programme of the European Union. The goal of the CYRUS project is to upskill SMEs and companies in the transport and manufacturing sectors in Europe and provide free training to employees and business executives. 

About this webinar

Cybercrime is getting more and more sophisticated, with attempts for breaches increasing. This webinar examines the current state-of-play with cybercrime and cybersecurity, offering participants a sound overview of today's complex digital threat landscape. Beginning with an introduction to cybersecurity, the webinar will cover a range of foundational concepts, including confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) paradigm, before delving into modern cybercrime trends, real-world case studies and statistics detailing various attacks and incidents.

Participants will explore high-profile cybercrime cases, gaining insights into how these crimes were executed and their impacts on businesses and individuals. Learning outcomes

By the end of this webinar, participants will improve their ability to: 

• Identify current trends and developments in cybercrime and cybersecurity by analysing real-world cases and identifying the characteristics of modern cyber threats

The training is free of charge and offered as an instructor-led webinar (duration: approximately 2 hours). The webinar will be hosted on Microsoft Teams on 7 May 2025 from 11.00 to 13.00 CEST.
