Advanced Mobile Application Security (Cyber Pro Train)

Advanced Mobile Application Security (Cyber Pro Train)

Start Date
09.June.2026
End date
11.Jun.2026

This training module "Advanced Mobile Application Security" provides participants with advanced knowledge of mobile application security, focusing on reverse engineering, runtime risks, secure storage, client-side attacks, and secure mobile architecture principles.

The training module is developed within the context of the Cyber Pro Train project, funded under the Digital Europe Programme of the European Union. Cyber Pro Train addresses the critical cybersecurity skills shortage in the European Union by developing an innovative, scalable education and training model tailored for professionals in SMEs and public administrations.

About this course

This training module aims to provide participants with a practical understanding of advanced mobile application security risks and defence strategies. Participants will explore how attackers analyse and manipulate mobile applications and how developers can implement secure design principles to protect mobile systems.

The course introduces concepts such as reverse engineering, runtime tampering, secure storage, client-side attacks, and server-side validation. Participants will also examine the limitations of client-side trust, the risks of hardcoded secrets, and the importance of protecting sensitive data and communications in mobile environments.
Special attention is given to modern mobile threat landscapes, including data interception, unauthorized access, privilege abuse, and runtime manipulation. Learners will understand how mobile security controls are integrated into secure application architectures.

Target audience

The training is designed for professionals, including SME employees, ICT practitioners, developers, cybersecurity learners, students, and Public Administration staff interested in strengthening their knowledge of secure mobile application development and protection.

Program

Three editions of this course are available:

  • 9 June 2026 - Italy
  • 10 June 2026 - Greece
  • 11 June 2026 - Spain

Duration: Up to 1 week (5 days - 40 hours)

Learning outcomes

After completing the training, participants will understand the advanced security challenges affecting mobile applications, identify common attack vectors, apply secure design principles, and recognize how runtime protections and server-side controls contribute to mobile application security.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants receive an open badge, recognising the acquired cybersecurity and advanced mobile security skills.
