ERASMUS+ Training: Engaging classrooms with game-based learning and STEAM - International Winter School Created bySara Natalini|UpdatedagoStart Date09.November.2026End date13.Nov.2026PresentialThe course offers an immersive and hands-on training experience designed to help teachers understand, experiment with, and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their educational practices. Participants will explore both teaching with AI—using generative tools to design, support, and assess learning—and teaching about AI—helping students develop critical, creative, and ethical approaches to technology. The training represents an opportunity to reflect on the evolving role of the teacher as a designer, guide, and facilitator of the learning process.Participants will be encouraged to question how AI is reshaping learning paradigms and our collective vision of knowledge, creativity, and agency. Through interactive workshops, collaborative labs, and reflective discussions, participants will experience how AI can enhance active learning, data literacy, and interdisciplinary teaching—while serving as a tool for critical inquiry and shared reflection. Beyond the technical skills, the course emphasizes the use of AI tools as a fuel for dialogue, debate, and peer exchange on major educational and societal issues.Contents and training are designed by G-Lab S.r.l. impresa sociale, a recognized institution for teachers’ training by the Italian Ministry of Education, holding accreditation by the Emilia Romagna Region for lifelong learning and ISO 9001 Quality Certification. The program is tailored to be fully funded by Erasmus+ KA1 funding and ensures the best quality within Erasmus quality standards.During the sessions, participants will also have the opportunity to explore and experiment with an ecosystem of innovative learning environments and digital tools developed and tested by the experts of G-Lab and Fondazione Golinelli, designed to foster creativity, inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.Course Details 🎯📆 9-13 November 2026📍 Bologna, Opificio Golinelli💶 550€/participant (includes course materials, certificate of attendance, coffee breaks, lunches from Monday to Friday and a light aperitif on Tuesday). 🇪🇺 Participants with a Erasmus+ KA1 grant, will receive support in the validation of the Europass Mobility Document and a certificate in line with Erasmus+ Quality Standards👩🏫Lower, upper-secondary school and VET teachersProgramme🗓️Day 1 - INTRODUCTION TO AI IN EDUCATION 🤖From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.Registration and welcome sessionGuided tour of Fondazione Golinelli labs and educational spacesLEGO Serious Play Workshop: Current attitudes towards the use of AI in educationIntroductory Lecture and Vision: “AI and social transformation in education and beyond” – reshaping educational goals and learning paradigmsDiscussion Workshop: AI and teaching practicesLunchDay 2 - TEACHING WITH AI: TOOLS AND PRACTICES FOR EDUCATORS ⚙️From 9 a.m to 1 p.mVisit to Scuola delle Idee Marino GolinelliDiscussion and sharing of current national guidelines on AI in educationDesign Workshop: Using generative AI for lesson planning, curriculum design, and subject-specific in-depth contentReflection: How AI changes the teacher’s role as a designer and mentorLunchFrom 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.Interactive STEAM city game to discover Bologna’s cultural traitsAperitifDay 3 - PPREPARING STUDENTS FOR AN ADVANCED USE OF AI 🧑🎓From 9 a.m to 1 p.mAI as a teaching assistant: the Fondazione Golinelli approach and ecosystem of learning environments and digital toolsHands-on experimentation: Using generative AI tools to foster competences beyond disciplinesDiscussion Workshop: Learning with AI – opportunities and risksReflection: Building students’ digital and ethical awarenessRetrospective of the dayLunchDay 4 - MACHINE LEARNING AND DATA SCIENCE 📈From 9 a.m to 2 p.mIntroduction to Machine Learning and Data Science for education: How algorithms “learn” through dataHands-on experimentation: “Deciding with data”Reflection: developing students’ analytical and decision-making skills through AIRetrospective of the dayLunchDay 5 - AI AND CREATIVITY 💡From 9 a.m to 2 p.mThe impact of AI and innovation on education and beyondVibe coding: Innovative ways to code, create, expressHands-on experimentation: “Machine learning blending art and science”Design Workshop: refining ideas for creating classroom activitiesFinal evaluation and certificationLunchTraining Offer DetailsWebsite linkDiscover the full program herePre-register hereDigital technology / specialisationArtificial IntelligenceMachine LearningDigital skillsTraining opportunitiesCourseLearning EffortPart time intensiveSelf-pacedNoDigital skill levelIntermediateGeographic scope - CountryAustriaBelgiumBulgariaCyprusRomaniaSloveniaCroatiaCzech republicDenmarkEstoniaFinlandFranceGermanyGreeceHungaryItalyIrelandMaltaLatviaLithuaniaLuxembourgNetherlandsPortugalPolandSwedenSpainSlovakiaShow moreShow lessTarget languageEnglishField of education and trainingTeacher training without subject specialisationIs this course freeNoCourse Amount550.00€PrerequisitesNoUpcoming courseNo Share this page Log in to comment
