FIT4FoF - Digital Upskilling Initiative Catalogue

The FIT4FoF (Fit for the Factory of the Future) project - funded through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme - is based on a human-centric approach to innovation and education in digital and emerging technologies, targeting workforce in the manufacturing sector. The main aim of the FIT4FoF project is to identify new skills requirements and job profiles and to develop a unique and transferable education and training framework to create a paradigm shift that empowers the existing workforce.

In this way, the project has the goal to make workers the co-designers of key lifelong training and education solutions and adapt them to the new skills requirements that increased digitisation will introduce into advanced manufacturing. To do so, the initiative set up a Digital Upskilling Initiative Catalogue, which offers a wide range of upskilling programmes and actions throughout Europe and compiles all the initiatives launched within the project's scope. Learners can upload their initiative or find it by filtering the target audience (managers, operators, students or unemployed) or market sector (e.g. aeronautics, automotive, chemicals, iron and steel industry, medical, technological, naval, etc.).

Through the Catalogue, FIT4FoF aims to develop an interdisciplinary education and training framework that uses the communities of practice paradigm to engage communities of manufacturers, technologists and educators in co-designing education and training processes together with the workforce.
