Charles University Master's degree in Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence

About the degree

Charles University is offering a Master's degree taught fully in English on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. This full-time two-year programme will provide students with the theoretical and applied knowledge needed to design intelligent systems for data analysis, automated problem solving and robotic applications among other areas. Specifically, students will learn about the design of efficient data structures, format modelling of problems using mathematical logic and probability theory, algorithms for problem solving, controlling autonomous agents, machine learning, and data mining, and computational methods. These methods will be applied in both the data and robotic worlds in either single-agent or multi-agent environments.

In order to be considered for this programme, prospective applicants must either hold or be working towards the successful completion of a Bachelor's or Master's diploma and be able to provide a certified copy of this. These degrees must show that the applicant has a sufficient academic background for the degree they are applying for. For this degree applicants must show that they have obtained degrees in one of these subjects calculus, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, probability, logic, computer programming, algorithms and data structures, computer organisation, and the theory of automata and formal grammars. Additionally, applicants must be able to demonstrate an adequate proficiency of English whether through previous completion of degrees taught in English or English language proficiency tests with the following scores:

  • TOEFL: Paper/Computer/Internet based 550/213/80
  • The International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.5
