"Fundamentals of Computer Security" is a course developed within the framework of the Cyber Pro Train project, which is funded under the DIGITAL Europe Programme of the European Union. The course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced security incident management and threat analysis, incorporating incident response, analysis of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), and simulations in a Cyber Range environment to strengthen Cyber Defence Situational Awareness and operational decision-making. It is available in 3 languages: Italian (IT), Spanish (ES), and Greek (GR) and runs on specific dates. 

About this course

This course targets junior, mid-level and senior professionals, including employees in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and public administration staff, looking to enhance their cybersecurity knowledge. 

Main objectives and learning outcomes of this course

By the end of this course, you will: 

  • Establish a solid and operational foundation for security incident management, from preparation to structured response.
  • Understand who attacks, how they attack, and why, utilising structured models and technical data.
  • Develop situational awareness in cyberspace, a key component for technical decision-making.
  • Put skills into practice through realistic simulations and enhance proactive response capabilities.

This course issues an open badge with the acquired skills upon successful completion.
