Politécnica de Madrid Master of Science in Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a growing technology with an estimated impact on the global economy at 20%. Furthermore, according to a Cotec report, IoT trained profiles will be in high demand in the following years in various sectors including machine learning, security, big data, security engineering, and microcontroller programming among others.
The Politénica de Madrid (UPM) has developed this programme to offer students a practical degree that prepares its graduates with the experience needed to enter the workforce. This degree is taught entirely in English to further support graduates as they start to work in this field. This Master's degree is compatible with working students' schedules as courses will be taught in the afternoon.
Study programme
The programme offers 60 ECTS credits over the course of the year required to complete it. The programme is split into the following topics:
- Embedded systems and IoT devices
- Service architectures and security for IoT
- Information and knowledge management IoT
- Intelligent applications
- Master's thesis
Requirements
Prospective students can enter this programme without taking bridging courses if they hold a degree in:
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Informatics Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
These degrees may be European or non-European equivalent degrees.
