Created in 1922, the association Eqla (formerly the National Organisation for the Blind) has always been working with and for blind and visually impaired people in Brussels.

Their mission includes support and advice for people who are blind or visually impaired, since young age to adulthood, and the organisation of a number of trainings on multiple topics:

- organising activities for blind and visually impaired people in various sectors, and for professionals of various sectors on how to welcome and deal with blind and visually impaired customers (in the cultural sector and in the hospitality sector, for example);
- organising coding and web accessibility evaluation trainings for people who are blind or visually impaired;
- advocate for better quality of services for blind and visually impaired people.
