Level Up: Free Digital Skills Courses for the Industry Created byKlara Süveges-Heilingbrunner|Updated30 August 2024In the framework of the Level Up project, over 10,000 employees from thousands of SMEs in Hungary will get the opportunity to develop their digital skills in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), data analysis or cybersecurity. The project is implemented jointly by 13 leading training institutions and business and industry organisations from seven countries, with the participation of IVSZ.The Level Up project aims to facilitate the digital transformation of SMEs through employee training. The initiative focuses on upskilling and reskilling programmes to help bridge the digital skills gap and help SMEs thrive in the digital world. The Level Up project is funded by the European Union through the Digital Europe Programme, and will run from January 2023 to December 2025.Why is this a good practice?Level-Up consists of fully free online training courses in English that were developed by highly experienced vocational training organisations following an assessment of market needs. As a result of the research, more than 100 high-quality trainings containing up-to-date knowledge have been developed by the partners, from which the interested parties are free to choose.The trainings cover the following topic areas: ICT SkillsData Analytics, Data Literacy and Data Driven DecisionsArtificial Intelligence (AI)Internet of Things (IoT)Cloud and Software/ ProgrammingCybersecurity3D printing/engineeringThroughout the 3-year project, it is expected that 15,000 employees from 3,000 SMEs will participate in the trainings free of charge.
