DIGITAL TALENT: KEY TO TRANSFORMATION AND EMPLOYABILITY

We are in the process of digital transformation, not only of businesses, but of the economy and society. Digitalisation is a key opportunity for our country to become more competitive. The advent of new technologies has transformed many aspects of our daily lives with new forms of communication, new services and business. In particular, the labour market has experienced the creation, renewal and improvement of jobs and job profiles.

Acquiring digital skills is a priority for the digital transformation to take place effectively and efficiently. The efforts made so far are beginning to bear fruit, as reflected in Spain’s improvement in the human capital section of the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI). However, there is still a long way to go ahead, in particular to improve ICT professionals.

In order to address all these challenges, AMETIC coordinates the Alliance for the Digital Talent Development, which acts as a space for dialogue between all stakeholders in the development of digital skills to generate a national ecosystem that develops and fosters talent enabling to achieve the digital transformation in Spain.

In this sixth edition of the Forum, we will focus on areas as relevant, such as employability, the digital divide or new forms of work, while analysing the development of the National Digital Skills Plan put in place by the government.
