Advanced Cloud Security Fundamentals (CYBER PRO TRAIN IT–ES-GR)

Start Date
08.September.2026
End date
10.Sep.2026

This training module provides participants with practical knowledge of advanced cloud security concepts, focusing on IAM, Zero Trust principles, cloud misconfigurations, network segmentation, and secure cloud infrastructure management.

Main objectives

This training module aims to provide participants with a practical understanding of advanced cloud security principles and the cybersecurity risks associated with modern cloud environments. Participants will explore how cloud infrastructures operate, how identity and access management controls secure resources, and how misconfigurations can expose cloud systems to attacks.

The course introduces concepts such as cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), the shared responsibility model, Identity and Access Management (IAM), least privilege principles, Zero Trust security, network segmentation, and cloud visibility practices. Learners will also examine common cloud threats including exposed API keys, overprivileged identities, insecure configurations, and unauthorized access.

Special attention is given to cloud-native security strategies, monitoring and visibility, secure access management, and proactive defense mechanisms that strengthen organizational resilience in cloud environments.

Target

The training is designed for professionals, including SME employees, ICT practitioners, cybersecurity learners, students, cloud administrators, and Public Administration staff interested in strengthening their knowledge of cloud security and secure infrastructure management.

Program

  • Introduction to Cloud Security
  • Cloud Service Models and Shared Responsibility
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Least Privilege and Zero Trust Principles
  • Cloud Misconfigurations and Threats
  • Network Segmentation and Visibility
  • Practical Security Analysis and Exercises

Learning outcomes

After completing the training, participants will understand the security challenges affecting cloud infrastructures, identify common cloud risks and misconfigurations, apply secure access management principles, and evaluate defensive strategies used in modern cloud environments.

The course issues an OPEN BADGE recognizing the acquired cybersecurity and wireless network security skills.
