Quantum Computing and Information EIT Digital Summer School

Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) developments based on Quantum Physics will bear a significant impact on various domains for the Economy of the future. For example some very slow computations when solved by classical computers will be dramatically sped up by quantum computers and quantum simulators can yield more precise simulations of complex physical systems.
The programme of the Summer School
This one week programme aims to equip participants with knowledge on quantum-related topics and how to turn these technologies into business. This will include:
- A short course on fundamental concepts of quantum physics accessible to non-quantum specialists
- An introduction to key quantum algorithms and quantum coding platforms
- Discussions of quantum computing benefits and their impact on widely deployed algorithms used for key establishment and digital signatures
- Solutions based on post-quantum cryptography as well as quantum key distribution
- Practical works conducted in small groups of students relying on the usage of some Virtual Machines offering quantum computing capabilities, in different service providers' clouds
- Innovation and business challenges specifically raised by quantum computing technologies
- Juridical impact of quantum information
This one-week programme will be held in Nice, France. It will be jointly organised by the SophiaTech Campus of Université Côte d'Azur in Sophia Antipolis and other campuses in the Nice city centre of the Université Côte d'Azur. The deadline for applications to this training opportunity is June 1 2023.
