European Initiatives

The EU Academy is a European online hub with high-quality educational resources, courses, workshops, activities and events on a wide range of EU policies.

This EU-owned hub is part of a joint venture between the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC), the European Commission's science and knowledge service and the Commission's Department for Informatics. The mission of the hub is to provide an innovative learning environment to engage individuals, whose work is related to EU policy areas. At the same time, the knowledge and resources hosted in the platform are developed directly by the European institutions and as such can provide useful insight also to professionals and employees within various industries, whose lives and work are impacted by EU policies and decision-making processes.

The EU Academy aims to spread knowledge on European Union topics and foster understanding of EU policy implementation and direction on a national and local level, in a coherent and inspirational way, and supports the development of in-depth knowledge for public sector employees and others.
