The "Digital Skills for Education" category wants to highlight and reward projects focused on digital upskilling for teachers and/or students. This category includes all projects and initiatives aimed at training teachers and school administrators to integrate digital skills at various levels into their curricula. It also includes activities designed to engage students in learning fundamental digital skills, fostering media literacy, and providing education on emerging technologies.

CitizenCode is an initiative launched by TRALALERE in 2021 to make digital culture, skills, and jobs accessible to everyone, from primary and middle school onwards.
CitizenCode won the Digital Skills in Education award for its efforts to make digital culture, skills, and careers accessible to students from primary and middle school onwards. CitizenCode's emphasis on diversity and inclusion, including collaboration with organisations like HandiTech to support children with special needs, addresses important gaps in digital education and prepares a wide range of students for the digital job market.
