Frequently Asked Questions

Why a Digital Skills and Jobs Platform?

Presently, information on digital skills intelligence, training opportunities and funding is often fragmented, whereas it hardly makes it across state borders. In order to reduce this fragmentation, the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform is a one-stop shop for high-quality information, initiatives, and resources on digital skills. It will also host an active digital skills stakeholder community from across Europe. Aligned closely with the Digital Europe Programme, the Platform directly contributes to the goals of the European Digital Decade strategy: 80 % of Europeans with at least basic digital skills and 20 million employed ICT specialists by 2030. The Platform is funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and aims to help individuals find relevant training opportunities to upskill and reskill in digital technologies; it will also boost knowledge-sharing and collaboration between European organisations and companies.

The Platform will strengthen the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and serve as a hub for 25 National Coalitions to exchange experiences and good practices, whilst navigating users through national and EU initiatives, offering a community space for discussions, interactions and match-making.

Why should I create a profile on the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform?

Sign up to the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform if you want to be more than just a passive user of content. By creating a profile, you would be able to use the collaborative Community space to present your organisation, connect with your peers, join online discussions, exchange best practices, share resources, and promote relevant initiatives. Furthermore, having a profile on the platform, allows you to comment on and/or like content (e.g. articles, resources, etc.) and to subscribe to notifications for content of your choice.

How do I create a profile on the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform?

If you have not created a profile on the DSJ Platform yet, by clicking on the tab 'Log in', you will be redirected to the EU login page to create a new user profile. Fill in all the fields on the form (don’t forget to read and accept the privacy statement) and click on the button 'Create account'.

After clicking on 'Create account' you will see a confirmation message on the screen and you will receive an email to confirm your registration (please, note that it may take several minutes until you receive the email) and create your password. Follow the instructions in the email to create your password. When you complete your registration, you will be re-directed to your new profile page on the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, where you would be asked to agree to the platform terms of service and privacy statement. Furthermore, you will be invited to subscribe to the platform’s bi-weekly newsletter, the Digital Skills & Jobs Digest. If you wish, you can also register your Organisation and invite your colleagues to join it on the Platform.

Can I contribute with content to the Platform?

Anyone can suggest content to be published on the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform via the following short online form. You will be asked to provide a very short description of the content and a link. The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform Editorial Team will take it from there and create a content item that fits the Platform editorial standards. You may be contacted by the team if need for further information. Be aware that the content you suggest must fit one of the content types available on the platform, which are listed in the form for content suggestion.
