DigiSkills for all
This Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is run online on the platform imoox.at and can be completed flexibly over time. It combines theory and practice and is made of of eight modules, each module having the same structure: it consists of an introductory video, complementary working materials, a task assignment and a final self-checking quiz. The modules are constantly becoming more complex in content in order to accommodate learners with different prior knowledge. Approximately two hours of work per module can be expected, allowing the whole course to be completed in about 16 hours at all. The course is particularly suitable for those who rarely or occasionally work on the PC.
An accompanying work booklet (digital and analogue) is available to participants. If requested, it will be sent free of charge in printed version. This was accompanied by three voluntary online presence dates for exchanges with other participants. To be confirmed, you must register on iMooX with the correct name and pass 75% of the multiple choice tests of all units. These may also be repeated. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate from the Technical University of Graz confirming the acquisition of Basic Digital Skills.
Active participation, including videos, quizzes, self-study and exchanges with other participants in the online course and in the optional follow-up groups, will make it possible to gain a basic digital understanding. Participation in the MOOC “DigiSkills for All” is free of charge. Only a stable internet connection and an email address to enrol in the course is required.
