Microsoft Cybersecurity Bootcamp for Educators
Microsoft is committed to helping close the cybersecurity skills and talent gap in the European Union. Through the Cybersecurity Bootcamp for Educators, we pledge that we will train 30 educators across higher education and vocational institutions of the Industry-Academia Network of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy, empowering them to deliver cybersecurity skills to students and learners across Europe, by the end of 2026,

Our pledge
By equipping educators with the knowledge, tools, and resources to embed Microsoft’s cybersecurity learning pathways into their curricula, we aim to create a lasting multiplier effect across Europe’s higher education and VET ecosystems. This initiative builds on the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) and NIS2 guidance, helping institutions deliver high-quality, industry-aligned cybersecurity education. Through this educator training effort, we aim to strengthen Europe’s cybersecurity workforce and accelerate the development of skilled professionals essential for a secure digital future.

Our initiative
Title: Microsoft Cybersecurity Bootcamp for Educators
Description: Developed as part of the Industry-Academia Network of the European Cybersecurity Skills Academy, this initiative aims to equip higher education and VET educators with the resources to integrate Microsoft cybersecurity learning pathways directly into their curricula. Through instructor-led online sessions, participants learn to teach and apply key cybersecurity concepts aligned with the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) and NIS2 skills guidance. The bootcamp will enable educators to prepare students for industry-recognized certifications (SC-900, SC-200) and supports institutions in building sustainable cybersecurity talent pipelines across Europe. Each trained educator can reach hundreds of students per year, creating a measurable multiplier effect for Europe’s cybersecurity workforce.
To ensure meaningful interaction and hands-on learning, each cohort is intentionally kept small (around 30 educators), enabling focused engagement and practical collaboration. The program will be repeated with additional cohorts and other members of the Industry-Academia Network, gradually expanding its reach across Europe. By training a focused group of educators in each cohort, we aim to foster deeper engagement and practical application. Over time, we hope this approach can help strengthen cybersecurity education and contribute to building a more resilient talent pipeline.
