EU Cybersecurity and Resilience - What challenges to create a Common Framework?
EURACTIV’s hybrid conference on Cybersecurity and Resilience aims to explore how to reinforce the cybersecurity of connected devices through various different options and create a discussion around ensuring that all digital products are safe and secure in a way that protects end-users, industry, and public entities. Taking place on 20 September, the Conference will take place in EURACTIV’s Brussels Network Office and online.
As announced by President von der Leyen in her State of the Union Address in September 2021, the European Commission is expected to reveal a Cyber Resilience Act in September 2022, aiming to establish common cybersecurity rules for digital products and associated services, such as software, which are released into the European single market.
Panellists will answer questions around the challenges involved in creating a common framework, how risks with devices can be categorised, the extent of cybersecurity assessment for these devices, who should complete the assessments to achieve the highest security level, and how can stakeholders participate to reinforce the secure cyber framework worldwide?
