Financing the implementation of the Green Deal - Skills for the agri-food sector

In the context of the LLLWeek 2022, EfVET and UNITO are organising an event on December 1 which will take place in the European Parliament from 12.00 to 13.30 CET.

Given the changes in the demand for employment and skills expected to materialise over the period to 2030, we ask ourselves what the role of VET is, in meeting those skill needs, and what is the investment needed to make sure those needs are met. In general, all experts consider VET to be important in providing the skills the agri-food sector will need by 2030.

This is why, taking into consideration the different developments around the Green Deal, the expected reforms of the EU fiscal policy and the updated Recommendations on VET and the Fair Green transition, this event will highlight the importance of investing in VET as a way of ensuring the EU achieves its social, environmental and economic goals through a just transition.
