Women ESTEAM Fest

Event location
Makedonia Palace Hotel, Thessaloniki, Greece, Greece

The European Commission, the European Innovation Council, and the SMEs Organization (EISMEA) in collaboration with Deloitte, are organizing the Women ESTEAM Fest in Greece, an initiative aimed at empowering women. The Women STEAM FEST will take place in Thessaloniki at the Macedonia Palace hotel on December 12.

The aim of the Women ESTEAM FEST, which is a European initiative, is to create communities and networks for the development of women’s digital and business skills, but also to strengthen their confidence to pursue a career in the fields of STEM (ESTEAM stands for Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).

11 ESTEAM Fests will be organized over 3 years in 19 member states of the European Union to empower women, inspire them and allow them to connect with women with the same interests. In addition, through the ESTEAM online communities, the women and girls who will participate (in respective groups), will have the opportunity to connect with other members online, taking advantage of new learning and networking opportunities.

During the one-day Fest in Thessaloniki, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • develop their skills
  • meet other women with similar interests
  • be inspired by female role models with successful careers in the digital and business world.

The theme of the Fest will focus on the development of very basic to advanced digital and/or business skills, as well as the development of soft skills (eg problem solving, creativity, collaboration, public speaking, etc.).
