Open Call for SMEs to provide or develop 5G Evolved Use Cases
The project FIDAL, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Program, has launched an Open Call for the involvement and engagement of “third parties” to run 5G evolved field trials. FIDAL contributes to Europe’s technological leadership in communication technologies and in future emerging enabling technologies, by strengthening European capacities in key parts of future services.
In particular, the project is inviting companies, research centers or any other relevant entity as well as facilities and infrastructure owners to provide a set of beyond 5G trials in a multitude of domains compatible with the FIDAL ones, such as:
- Media
- Entertainment
- Emergency Services
- Time critical applications and services
Under the open call, applicants are able to either chose to:
- Option 1: Submit single beneficiary proposals for a new use case and related field trials using FIDAL experimentation framework, toolkits and Network, Applications supported by the existing infrastructures coming from FIDAL initial Consortium.
- Option 2: Submit proposals from groups of collaborating and complementary partners to produce new use cases and perform trials using additional services and testing facilities.
Funding:
- Up to €150,000 (option 1) or up to €250,000 (option 2)
- The duration is indicatively 12 months
- The funding rate for selected projects is 100 % of the eligible costs
