This course is designed to bridge the gap in digital skills for ICT professionals working in European SMEs. The course emphasizes the development of cybersecurity awareness and resilience within organizations, focusing on key areas such as security culture, information classification, risk management, and organizational competence in cybersecurity
Through interactive, hands-on modules and real-world simulations, participants will gain the skills necessary to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies tailored to their organization’s needs. The online training program provides 50 hours of content, including 24 hours of live online sessions and 26 hours of independent study, granting participants 2 ECTS credits upon completion. Course overview
This course is tailored for professionals working in the ICT sector, particularly those within EU SMEs, who are looking to strengthen their cybersecurity skills and knowledge. It is especially suited for individuals tasked with overseeing or improving cybersecurity awareness and practices in their organizations.
Aims and objectives of the course are to increase skills and expertise in following areas:
- Transversal Concepts on cybersecurity culture.
- Core Content on cyber competence and awareness.
- Expert Content on information classification, risk management.
- CBL Module offers interactive hands-on, practical exercises that simulate real-world cybersecurity challenges e.g. data breaches, malware attacks, social engineering. The interactive approach encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Guided reflection and feedback sessions to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge application
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, these are the learning outcomes:
- Understand the significance of a security culture for cybersecurity
- Recognize the importance of information classification for safeguarding organizational information and be able to classify information and information systems
- Grasp the importance of competence and awareness in achieving cybersecurity
- Be able to assess the organization's level of cybersecurity competence (maturity) and plan and implement an organizational cybersecurity awareness program/training (awareness)
