Cybersecurity Specialist Training Programme

The Cybersecurity Specialist training programme is a retraining programme for adults that takes the form of an e-course, This course aims to provide participants with basic knowledge of how to implement cybersecurity controls in a company. Participants will gain the fundamentals of professional knowledge so they can begin a career as a cybersecurity specialist.

The 4-month training includes independent work as well as webinars with a lecturer. The language of instruction is English, and webinars are held in English.

Upon request, the two most successful graduates will have the opportunity to undergo a 1-month unpaid internship in a company dealing with cybersecurity after the training.

Modules 

The training is embedded in three modules:

  1. ISACA ITCA: Cybersecurity Fundamentals Online Training
  2. Course SC-900T00-A: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals - Training | Microsoft Learn
  3. Independent project work: compilation of a “company cybersecurity architecture plan”

The first two modules comprise independent e-learning, supported by weekly webinars under expert guidance. The training is completed with the preparation and protection of an independent project.

Target group and prior knowledge

The training is open to anyone who wants to start a career as a cybersecurity specialist or who wants to improve their competence in protecting the company's IT infrastructure from cyber threats.

They are proficient in English at a level that, in addition to communication, allows them to independently understand study materials, learn independently and, if necessary, formulate their thoughts (preferably level B1).

The training is suitable for a beginner IT-conscious person or IT specialist who wishes to acquire knowledge in the field of cybersecurity. No specific cybersecurity prior knowledge is required. Desired digital skills experience at user level (test your own competence in the Digital Skills Assessment Tool).

The trainees will: 

  • Have a basic level of information security methodology and management
  • Understand the threats related to cybersecurity, and be able to associate them with the company's assets and implement safeguards to mitigate risks
  • Monitor security in the IT infrastructure, detect anomalies and apply threat intelligence
  • Be able to respond adequately to security incidents
  • Know Microsoft security technologies and be able to choose the right security components for their organization or company
