Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), established in 1930 in Australia, is an independent educational research organisation. Its mission is to create and promote research-based knowledge, products and services that can be used to improve learning across the lifespan.

ACER has more than 400 staff in offices around the world, namely in Australia, India, Indonesia, Malasia, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. It is an official partner of UNESCO.
