Informal School of IT

The Informal School of IT is an association, active in several Romanian cities and the Republic of Moldova (Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Iasi, Chisinau, Timişoara, Brașov, Craiova and Sibiu), which aims to strengthen the ability of the vocational education and training (VET) sector and the information and communication technology (ICT) sector to support lifelong learning for all and workforce reskilling. 

Set up in 2016, the Informal School of IT targets employees, looking to reskill and upskill existing digital competences, with a special focus on employees looking for a career change. The organisation offers a variety of educational programmes, and is behind several upskilling initiatives and actions, involving several regions throughout the country. It is famous nationally due to its approach to training and integration of alternative teaching methods, including coaching, mentoring, and apprenticeship programmes.
