Library Association of Serbia

The Library Association of Serbia is an independent non-profit professional organisation for library and information experts in the Republic of Serbia. This organisation has almost 2000 paying members and receives support from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia for some of its project activities.

It covers all of the districts of the Republic of Serbia and has 24 branches and 12 commissions based on various professional fields and four sections in line with the different types of libraries represented. The Library Association of Serbia has been organising international scientific conferences since 20001 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia. These are aimed to collect information on the development of librarianship and information knowledge and gather the insights of both foreign and domestic experts on current topics.
