Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is an international oriented university with headquarters in Trondheim and campuses in Gjøvik and Ålesund. The foundation of Det Trondhiemske Selskab in 1760 later led to the NTNU. Since 2016, NTNU is the largest single university in Norway following a merger.
NTNU offers a variety of study programmes covering topics such as the humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines, and artistic activities. While it offers all these programmes, its main profile is science and technology. NTNU offers 398 study programmes and has over 43 400 students.
