The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) was founded in 1829 by H.C. Ørsted with the intention to develop and create value using the natural and technical sciences to benefit society. DTU is a highly ranked technical university in Europe and is recognised for its high level of international research. The staff and students at DTU collaborate with organisations and people across the world and disciplines to develop technologies that support a globalised world and generate value, welfare, and growth. The University has an estimated 11 200 students enrolled and 6 000 employees supporting these students and the research undertaken by DTU. Degrees of all levels are offered from Bachelor degrees to Doctoral ones as well as Professional degrees and programmes.
