European Initiatives

Europe is in a leading position in many sectors that can successfully apply blockchain or other Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs). At the same time, the lack of digital skills throughout Europe threatens to hamper and slow down innovation.

CHAISE is a Sector Skills Alliance project, financed by the European Commission, dedicated to blockchain development, strategy and training. The aim of the initiative is to address shortages in the sector, raise awareness abouts the benefits and possibilities opened up by the technology, and foster the development of advanced skills sought by employers.

The mission of CHAISE: Blockchain Skills for Europe is to develop a common strategy on developing blockchain skills in Europe and support the workforce by making future-proof training solutions available and accessible. The alliance also tracks and analyses the growing demand for blockchain and DLT skills in Europe.

The CHAISE partnership brings together 23 Partners and 5 Associated partners from 15 EU countries. View the full list of stakeholders behind the initiative here. Funded through the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, the project started in November 2020 and is due to finish in 2024.
