European Initiatives

The Digital Skills Accelerator project enhances students' digital skills through the provision of training and self-assessment tools, tailored to evaluate digital competences against the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp).

Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the project aims to tackle the digital divide in terms of access to technology and related to the ability of young people to use Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), so they can become fully-functional citizens in an increasingly digital world. The project's resources address a specific skill gap identified in the European training landscape: young people's access to technology with a focus on improving their employability.

The project combines a self-assessment tool, aligned with DigComp, and an open training course on digital skills, called 'The Essential Digital Skills Toolkit'. The self-assessment tool and training can be also taken by anyone interested in evaluating their digital competence and in reaching a foundational understanding of digital technologies.
