European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO)

Established in June 2016, the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) is a European, cross-sector membership organization dedicated to fostering cybersecurity communities and strengthening the European cybersecurity ecosystem. ECSO brings together public and private sector entities across Europe, including large corporations, SMEs, start-ups, research centres, universities, end-users, operators of essential services, clusters, associations, and public administrations at local, regional, and national levels within EU Member States and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
The mission of ECSO is to organise and contribute to the development of a European Cybersecurity Ecosystem by enabling businesses, universities and public and private entities to fully benefit from the advancements brought about by the digital transformation. In this way, ECSO also supports the security and safety of the EU Digital Single Market and ensures Europe's leadership and competitiveness internationally.
ECSO represents and coordinates a wide range of public and private stakeholders, including: larger corporations, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups and essential service operators, associations, companies, research centres, academia, and clusters. In addition, the organisation provides the same services for regional and national public institutions and administrations throughout the European member states, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and Horizon Europe Programme associated countries.
