World Economic Forum - Centre for Cybersecurity
The World Economic Forum's Centre for Cybersecurity is an independent and impartial global platform committed to fostering international dialogue and collaboration between the global cybersecurity community across the public and private spheres. The centre aims to bridge the gap between cybersecurity experts and decision-makers at the highest levels and reinforce the importance of cybersecurity as a key strategic priority.
The initiative was launched as a response to the unprecedented systemic increase of security risks and threats brought about by advances in technology and increased global interconnectivity.
The Centre brings together over a hundred partners from key players on the global technological field, such as Microsoft, as well as a network of representatives from governments and public institutions, international organisations, academia and civil society organisations in one community.
The Community has 3 key priorities, around which work activities evolve, including:
- Building Cyber Resilience: advance cyber resilience by designing and scaling proactive solutions while fostering best practices across digital ecosystems.
- Strengthening Global Cooperation: strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors by driving a unified response to critical cybersecurity threats.
- Understanding Future Networks and Technology: explore and address emerging cybersecurity challenges and opportunities in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
