The National Coordination Centre in the Czech Republic project (NCC-CZ), co-funded by the Digital Europe programme, aims to foster collaboration between academic and private sectors to strengthen resilience against cyber threats. The Cyber Resilience Open Call seeks to advance this objective by supporting projects that enhance capacity development, promote cross-sectoral cooperation, and raise cybersecurity awareness. Through these efforts, the initiative will develop innovative solutions and comprehensive educational programs to address emerging cybersecurity challenges effectively.

Expected Outcome

The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance collaboration between academic and private sectors through joint projects, ultimately boosting resilience to cyber threats by achieving specific sub-objectives in each support area:

  • Capacity Development and Skills Enhancement: Expand national and European cybersecurity expertise through new and intensive training programs for current professionals and emerging talent.

  • Promoting Cross-Sectoral and International Cooperation: Strengthen collaboration between academia, private sector, and public institutions to share best practices and develop innovative solutions for emerging cybersecurity challenges.

  • Cybersecurity Awareness Raising: Increase public and stakeholder awareness about cybersecurity threats and protection measures through targeted campaigns and educational programs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible countries are EU Member States and EEA Countries

  • Eligible entities are SMEs or Startups operating in the fields of information technology, cybersecurity, or other relevant sectors. Educational and research organisations dedicated to research, education or awareness-raising in the field of cybersecurity that have experience in cybersecurity projects

Funding

  • Total Budget: up to 150.000 EUR

  • Amount per project: up to 30.000 EUR

  • Funding rate: up to 100% of eligible costs - but the financial support awarded to a project may be less than the amount requested in the application.

Timeline

The deadline to submit applications is set to 18 August 2024, 17:00 Brussels time.
