Fundación Sergio Alonso

The Sergio Alonso Foundation contributes to the development of educational and training projects, to the support of scientific and technological research, to the development of the information society, and to the promotion of civic and ethical values. All of this is also focused on the transfer of these values to the productive fabric as a driving force for business productivity and competitiveness.

Education, the fundamental pillar of a society, is the most important strategic axis of the Sergio Alonso Foundation. We are aware that improving education is a complex issue that requires the commitment and responsibility of many actors: governments, the educational community (teachers, students, families, social agents), the media, foundations, etc. For this reason, the Sergio Alonso Foundation is committed to the creation of spaces of convergence, promoting innovation and educational quality actions based on social responsibility and generating public/private collaboration frameworks.

We are developing projects in the field of vocational training, such as 'FP Plus', with which we have already provided complementary training in English, technical competencies and soft skills.  We also developed the Soft Skills Training Program for Basic Vocational Training teachers.

In the Primary School area, we have launched together with the Foresta Foundation and Acuorum Foundation the project. 'Trees' with which we are promoting the planting of trees in schools in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana in order to renaturalize the spaces and create shadows.

We continue to develop as leaders the project 'In the Same Code' (2022-1-ES01-KA210-VET-000083069) with which we have already inspired more than 2,000 students with technology and they have received basic notions of programming. We have also begun to implement the 'Edudemos' project (2023-1-DE02-KA220-VET-000160146), of which we are a partner and whose objective is the development of sustainable demonstrators for the acquisition of digital competencies.

The Sergio Alonso Foundation is made up of a Board of Trustees of 8 people from diverse fields such as the academic world or from different sectors such as Culture, Architecture, Tourism or Law. All of them perform their functions altruistically. In addition, the Foundation has a team of three people with different backgrounds: Communication, Design Engineering, Education or Administration.

The Sergio Alonso Foundation is a member of the 'Pact for Skills', launched by the European Commission, and the Reconoce Network (an association that promotes the recognition of skills acquired through volunteering based on an On- line Accreditation System). We are also members of the Spanish Association of Foundations and the Spanish Association of Robotics and Automation.
