Prépsy is a non-profit association of general interest, based in Paris, governed by the 1901 law, registered on October 22, 2002.
In 2002, Prépsy launched the "Focus" early psycho-social intervention program in Paris, with the support of the ARS Île-de-France and the Paris Department. This program, based on case management of complex cases, offers 50 places in SAMSAH (Social and Medical Services for Disabled Adults) for young adults suffering from emerging mental health issues. This early psycho-social intervention system, based on case management of complex cases, is aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 with emerging mental health issues.
In 2019, Prépsy developed Prépsy CONTACT, which aims to create links between psychiatry and addiction structures. This project connects (bridging) structures for better coordination between structures dealing with a young audience who have emerging mental health issues and addictive behaviors.
This program, implemented nationwide, including in the overseas territories (DROM-COM), was expanded in 2025 and became "Contact 2.0," incorporating a digital dimension in the intervention. This program is supported by the FLCA (Fund for the Fight Against Addictions) and the CNAM.
In 2020, Prépsy was recognized as an association of general interest.
In 2023, Prépsy introduced the Prépsy Clic project into its programs with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation. This project provides early "information for early intervention" via the internet and social networks for the care of emerging mental health issues. Prépsy Clic was selected as the winner of the Great Cause #SolutionsJeunes, initiated by Make.org and Mirova Forward, aiming to help every young person find their place in society. Thanks to this recognition, Prépsy Clic benefits from the support and partner network of the Make.org Foundation, including through sponsorship actions.
The mission of Prépsy is to develop action-research programs aimed at reducing the duration of untreated mental health issues. This involves implementing early interventions, support strategies, and innovative care models that aim to identify and treat mental health issues more quickly, before they become chronic. The early psycho-social intervention system is based on case management of complex cases, targeting young people aged 16 to 25 with emerging mental health issues. Prépsy is a network of health professionals, medico-social workers, management experts, health economics professionals, and medical ethics specialists, in collaboration with user and family associations.
Prépsy fully integrates digital technologies and innovations into its actions. By adopting innovative approaches, the association anticipates and supports sector developments to improve care and recovery. Prépsy also aims, through this approach, to enhance the effectiveness of its interventions while meeting the needs of the sector and mental health professionals.
