Wonderful Education srl (WE) is an EdTech Italian company involved in scalable and impactful solutions for digital education and innovative learning: it is a venture builder, a testbed network, an R&D center promoting public awareness of innovative quality learning through a think tank, the first Italian Festival dedicated to learning (Learning More Festival) and online publications.
WE has the mission to increase the potential of education in society by improving the quality and impact of educational experiences through research, design, acceleration activities and educational formats with high technological value and social impact to develop 21st century skills in schools and society.
In 2019, WE created FEM (Future Education Modena https://fem.digital/), the first R&D hub for innovation in education in Southern Europe. In 2022 it founded a second R&D hub in Cuneo, named PLIN (Projects for Learning Innovation https://rondodeitalenti.it/progetto-plin/). They are unique places supporting WE's mission through a testbed network of national and international partners, schools and educators.
WE provides a unique mix of skills in pedagogy, psychology, learning design, game science, programming, computational/cognitive linguistics, inclusive methodologies, and a live national testbed network. It is a recognized actor as for the development and implementation of innovative approaches to tackle economic and societal challenges (e.g. digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainable development goals, inclusion, upskilling, reskilling etc.) as well as of innovative approaches to increase the outreach, quality and effectiveness of education.
WE’s 9 strategic R&D programs in education and training are articulated on methodological tracks (inclusion, game-based learning, cognitive sciences, neuroscience), digital humanities (cognitive linguistics, media & visual arts), numerical and computational skills, sciences (data science, green science & food science). Each strategic program develops workshops, innovative contents, new teaching and training models and practical instruments; schools of higher vocational training, special projects; learning environments, research projects and EdTech products.
WE has a strong expertise in EdTech, educational innovation and technology-enabled learning processes thanks to a multidisciplinary team and +90 national and international partners.
WE is member of the Italian EdTech Association and a recognized actor for VET training at the national level. At the international level, WE is member and part of the board of EEA European EdTech Alliance, a consortium of national trade associations and clusters working with founders and providers of Edtech, to support the domestic and international growth of Edtech and Innovation in education and bringing together 2.460 EdTech organizations from Europe.
WE has a network of 700 schools and 35,000 teachers at national level, with whom it develops and implements new methodologies and innovative teaching tools. Over 3 years, WE has developed and implemented 300 original educational formats, 9 Strategic Programs, 2.500 training activities, reaching and training 130.000 professionals in education, mainly teachers, and 1.250.000 students.
