Good Practices

As part of the AZB*Digital project, the Association for the Promotion of Work, Education and the Future of Women of Austria (ABZ*AUSTRIA) offers five different workshops where digital skills can be expanded through practical and application-oriented offers and accompanying learning coaching. The workshop series allows you to know the city of Vienna’s digital services and their usefulness. The thematic areas include apps, free Wi-Fi and tips for work and everyday life. It will learn how to use the Internet more actively and comprehensively. It removes ambiguities about applications of apps and provides tips for private use of the internet.

The workshop offers will focus on the following topics:

Course 1: Digital competent – showcasing different facets and applications of the smartphone and explains how digital media can be used well and safely in everyday life.

Course 2: Vienna digital – The second workshop will showcase what digital services the City of Vienna provides and how to deal quickly with personal matters online.

Course 3: Mobile in Vienna – shows where it is possible to use free Wi-Fi access within Vienna and how to find it online. At the same time, participants will be led by one of the public Wi-Fi Access Points to one of the urban offers and will be able to choose where to go next.

Course 4: ‘networked’ – it learns how to protect privacy online and how to protect yourself from online violence and hatred. It also explains what constitutes fairness in the network and how individuals can act and protect themselves accordingly.

Course 5: Make it easy to say – it shows how best to use regional services for everyday life, education, leisure and entertainment, and how to co-create them with others.

It is possible to attend the whole series of workshops and attend all five consecutive courses or book the courses individually.
