ENIGMA Programme
ENIGMA is an award-winning corporate training programme created in 2015 by S2GRUPO to tackle Europe’s cybersecurity talent gap. At the intersection of educational innovation, technological sovereignty, and youth employability, ENIGMA delivers a fully immersive, practice-based learning experience.
It combines advanced technical training with direct involvement in real 24/7 cybersecurity services (SOC, CERT, Red Team), ensuring participants engage in the protection of critical infrastructure from day one. Designed as a strategic response to the mismatch between academic curricula and market needs, ENIGMA focuses on preparing professionals for real-world challenges in threat intelligence, digital forensics, pentesting, OT security, AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity compliance. Participants follow an 8-month fully funded path, including 4 months of intensive instruction and 4 months of fieldwork. Each develops a Final Project (TFE), many of which contribute directly to S2GRUPO’s operations.
ENIGMA ensures inclusive access: it welcomes participants with or without prior cybersecurity experience and promotes diversity by actively encouraging applications from women and underrepresented profiles. All students receive scholarships and stipends, and benefit from tailored mentorship by senior professionals. This personalised support helps overcome entry barriers and maximises individual development.
More than a training programme, ENIGMA builds cyber defenders with a public mission: graduates work on real cases protecting health infrastructures, energy grids, and democratic institutions. Ethical awareness, civic responsibility, and the strategic value of cybersecurity are core to the learning journey. The initiative fosters a culture of responsible tech use, in line with Europe’s values.
ENIGMA also delivers local impact with global relevance. Many participants come from public universities and now enjoy high-level technical jobs without leaving their regions, helping to retain talent in areas like the Comunitat Valenciana, Euskadi, or Galicia. Former students act as mentors, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem of collaboration. ENIGMA alumni also contribute to awareness campaigns and educational outreach, especially among vulnerable groups.
Fully funded and scaled by S2GRUPO, ENIGMA is a socially sustainable model aligned with the EU’s Digital Decade, the Cybersecurity Skills Academy, and the CSRD. It reinforces resilience, inclusion, and technological sovereignty. Its modular structure (University, Tech, Developer, Consultant) and custom learning platform enable adaptation and replication across other regions or countries.
In sum, ENIGMA activates local talent for global cybersecurity challenges—creating a new generation of professionals committed to protecting our digital society.
