A study conducted by the Luxembourgish Chamber of Crafts eHandwierk department found that, although most craft businesses in Luxembourg are convinced of the importance of digitalisation, they struggle to take stock of their own progress and choose the right support.

The DigiCheck Self Assessment Tool responds to this challenge free of charge and in just a few minutes. Upon completion, the tool generates an overall assessment of how digitalised the business in question is, compiles a profile, and lists recommendations to improve weaker areas. DigiCheck supports virtually all levels of digital competence, with uncommon and technical terms highlighted in blue and accompanied by definitions that become visible once the cursor hovers over them.

Areas of assessment

  • Communication

  • Management

  • Human resources

  • Security

  • Steering (regulation)

  • Production and services

Why this tool?

DigiCheck is an easy-to-take self-assessment questionnaire, which measures 6 key areas related to the digitalisation of the company. The tool provides another level of value in the form of data: the Chamber of Crafts has access to anonymous and up-to-date statistics on the state of digitalisation among Luxembourg craft enterprises.

Entrepreneurs have the option to use the tool alone or receive assistance from an eHandwierk expert. Since 2018, the "eHandwierk" service of the Chamber of Crafts guides and accompanies craft companies in their digital transformation. This has resulted in a number of concrete initiatives, such as the Digital Performance Self-diagnosis (DigiCheck), around 600 meetings with business leaders as well as 1, 400 remote counselling sessions.
