Almost one half of European citizens still lack a basic level of digital skills, which are increasingly needed to participate in daily, social and work life. The digital transformation is also speeding the uptake of digital technologies and makes this skills gap even more apparent.

The Digital Skills Accelerator online self-assessment tool provides users with a tailored assessment of their own digital competence level, against the European DigComp framework. By highlighting strong and weak areas, the tool identifies areas for improvement to users by providing them with their own personalised 'Radar chart'.

Students can also compare their results with those of others and receive recommendations on the most suitable trainings to improve their digital skills. Areas evaluated by the tool include: information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, and safety online.
