Deepening competencies in the EU - Skills on the Agenda - webinar
The European Office of Cyprus – Brussels Office, NCBR Office in Brussels – Business & Science Poland, Slovenian Business & Research Association, Eötvös Loránd University, the National Research, Development, and Innovation Office in Hungary and the Lithuanian RDI Liaison Office in Brussels (LINO) are holding on 6 March an online event focusing on skills.
Structured in two parts, it will feature an introductory presentation on the Pact for Skills, one of the flagship actions of the European Skills Agenda. The Pact for Skills is the first and latest development in the new Skills Agenda for Europe initiative. Launched on 10 November 2020, it aims to get public and private organisations together and encourage them to make concrete commitments to upskilling and reskilling adults. The first speaker from the European Commission will share the latest news and updates, to acquire a better understanding of the aim, what does the Pact for Skills offer, the opportunities presented and how someone can be involved.
Since skills are one of the building blocks of the New European Innovation Agenda, the second part of the online event will focus on how the European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT) will play a prominent role in its implementation. For instance, EIT will contribute to the objectives of the Innovation Agenda by supporting 1 million deep tech talents over a 3-year period across all Member States.
