The sixth episode of the Digital Skills Talks, an online series hosted by the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, will explore the importance of digital skills for SMEs in achieving the goals set by the EU Digital Decade. In this episode, we will explore how supercharging digital skills within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can contribute to broader digital transformation efforts and support the EU's strategic objectives for the coming decade.

About the 6th episode on digital skills and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)!

This episode will feature Aiga Irmeja, Chair of the Board at Latvian IT Cluster/European Digital Innovation Hub and David Seoane, Project Manager at FundingBox and involved in the CloudCamp4SMEs project.

Only 57.7% of SMEs in Europe have achieved a basic level of digital intensity (DESI 2024), falling short of the Digital Decade Target, which aims for over 90% of SMEs to reach this level. To meet this goal, significant efforts are required. Integrating digital skills into SME operations is crucial for accessing new markets and adapting to the rapid changes of the digital revolution. How can digital skills contribute to the overall competitiveness and growth of SMEs? What barriers do SMEs face in improving digital skills, and how can they overcome these challenges for successful digital transformation? Join us for this 30-minute interview with experts discussing the importance of digital skills for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
