The aim of Code Week is to make programming more visible, to show young adults and elderly, how to bring ideas to life with code, to remove the mystery around coding skills and to bring young, motivated people together to learn. EU Code Week 2022 will take place between 8 and 23 October. Anyone is welcome to organise or join an activity, requirements include picking a topic and target audience and adding your activity to the EU Code Week map. In 2021, 4 million people in over 80 countries around the world took part in EU Code Week. The average age of participant was 11 years old, 49% of participants were women or girls, and 88% of EU Code Week events took place in schools, the successful results of efforts to empower teachers during the 2021 campaign.
